received his BA in Philosophy Group (psychology, sociology and education included in the group) Teacher Education from Çukurova University Faculty of Education (1987–1991), a master's degree in philosophy from Louisiana State University (USA) (1994–1996), and a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Wisconsin (Madison, USA) (1996–2002). Between 1998 and 2002, he worked as a teaching assistant in the philosophy department at the University of Wisconsin (Madison). Since 2003, he has been working at Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University. In the Spring semester of 2007, he was a visiting scholar at Leibniz University Hannover, in the 2007-2008 academic year, he was a visiting scholar at the Center for Philosophy of Science at the University of Pittsburgh, and in the 2013-2014 academic year, he was a visiting faculty member in the philosophy department at the University of Wisconsin (Madison). In the 2021-2022 academic year, he was a Fulbright scholar at Northeastern University. He has published articles in international journals such as Philosophy of Science, Biology and Philosophy, Australasian Journal of Philosophy, Erkenntnis, History and Philosophy of the Life Sciences, Philosophical Psychology, and Philosophia. His areas of expertise in philosophy are the philosophy of biology and the philosophy of science.
