In the first of our thematic film screenings focused on Latin American cinema, held as part of the Village of Sciences Ankara events, we explored the themes of political ecology.
Through Icíar Bollaín’s striking film Even the Rain (También la Lluvia), we discussed colonialism, the struggles for water resources, and issues of social justice. We examined how powerfully cinema can reflect ecological conflicts and historical injustices, gaining new perspectives on the intersection of nature, humanity, and justice.
